ABOUT THE HANDBELL FESTIVAL

The Conference Chapter of The Fellowship annually sponsors a Handbell Festival in early March. The festival is held in the March Riddle Center on the campus of Methodist University in Fayetteville, NC.  Repertoire is selected in the preceding summer and brochures & registration form are available for downloading from this website.

Guest clinicians are well-known handbell conductors from around the United States and abroad.  Previous conductors have included:   Bill Alexander, Susan Berry, David Davidson, Cynthia Dobrinski,  Betty Garee, Fred Gramann, David Harris, Michael Helman, Robert Ivey, Phyllis Kirk, Bill Mathis, Hart Morris, Deborah Rice, Arnold Sherman, Howard Starks and Margaret Tucker.   We have also presented the The Raleigh Ringers in concert at two previous Handbell Festivals.

The Festival is open to any choir or individual on a first-come basis as space allows (Capacity is approximately 30 choirs).  We also welcome and encourage participation in the Festival by other Denominations.  We have had a number of Baptist, Presbyterian, Episcopal, and Roman Catholic Handbell Choirs, as well as community ensembles to attend the Handbell festival.
